What is my hair type?

Over the past several years there has been a trend toward women and men seeking more natural products.  This trend has also been seen in the market for black hair care products.  With growing concern over artificial fragrances, preservatives and other chemicals used in everything from our toothpaste to our deodorant, many people are deciding to cut out as many man-made chemicals as possible from their lives.  There are more and more stores on-line where natural black hair care products that are mostly natural or all natural can be obtained.  Many of these stores also offer organic products or products that are mostly organic which eliminates chemical additives even from the source materials of the products. It seems that  women who have made the decision to go with natural hair as opposed to chemically processed hair are especially interested in more natural products.  On-line forums are springing up where they are trading recipes and sources of natural products and where they are trading styling tips as well.

Black hair care products have often been made of cheap filler ingredients by companies who do not understand the needs of African-American hair.  Even today, in most drug stores and grocery stores these products continue to line the shelves which is what is driving many women to look on-line for their black hair care products.

If you cannot find quality black hair care products in a store near you, don’t despair.  Thanks to the internet, quality black hair products and natural black hair care products are as near as your telephone or your computer.
